Really Fun and Subtly Educational Posted by

This game is awesome. I've had it since early 2011 and it's still my favorite iPad game. It's simple, challenging, and actually educational without you even realizing it. The game incorporates Newton's laws of motion into its mechanics system. If you don't know Newton's laws of motion, or if you only have a passing knowledge of them, this game gives you a really good feel for them. After playing for a while, Newton's laws become intuitive to you and that's really helpful if you plan on taking an introductory physics course or if you're just interested in physics. The graphics are crisp and clean and the controls are easy and intuitive. The Odyssey is really fun, but it's too short. The arcade levels are really challenging with a variety of different stages and obstacles. The multiplayer is fun, but it's always hard to find an opponent. More people should play this game. Suggestions: I would love to see new texture/skin/costume packs added. Like changing the color of your mote or making it look like a pumpkin or something. Or making the enemy motes in multiplayer/Sentient Mode appear as little goblins. Or have a costume where your mote looks like the Death Star or a round robot. You know, interesting stuff like that just to switch it up. It would also be cool to have a new stage in Odyssey and Arcade where there are infected motes and you have to navigate around them because absorbing one causes you to continuously shrink and then there are vaccinated motes that you have to absorb to stop shrinking. And it would be cool to have a stage where there are evil robot motes that try to terminate you and you have to destroy them by causing them to collide with antimatter. Or a stage similar to the orbital attractor stages but with a black hole instead and it has attractors and repulsers orbiting it and you have to navigate through them to become the biggest mote. This game has so much potential beyond its current amazingness. It would be awesome to see it realized more so that it can become more popular. Great job, developers!

Very engaging Posted by

This is probably the best game for a tablet that I've yet found. Challenging, never boring, not glitchy, and very different. I consider games like Myst and Riven the standard to live up to. This is nothing like them, but on par as far as maintaining interest. If you're more interested in puzzles (this qualifies in an oblique sense, in that it becomes increasingly urgent to determine which direction to go), than shoot 'em ups, this is a great game. It's like the game that "Asteroids" always wanted to be (now I'm revealing my age). Top notch. Not a stupid "find the hidden PITA object" game. Much better entertainment and challenge.

Fun with Newton Posted by

Blob eats smaller blob. Repeat until big. Sounds simple, right? Here's the catch: To move, you need to throw part of yourself behind. Yes, your blobs move like spaceships - the real kind. For every action, etc. etc. in later scenarios, your blob orbits a Sun, and you get to experience the perversity of orbital mechanics first-hand... without any math. Space travel is all about mass and time. Patience is paramount, and this is where the soundtrack comes in. While you ever so slowly drift towards victory, you get to bliss out to sound. It works really well. Recommended follow-on game: Kerbal Space Program. :-)

Great game, want more Posted by

I have been playing this game for almost a month now. At first, I didn't really perceive how short the game was; I finished the Odyssey in about one week, and then mastered three arcade levels. I have played several multiplayer games. However, most of the time I go on multiplayer I am unable to find someone to compete with.I would like more people to download this game. They would not be disappointed with the three modes. There is nothing else like this game, and if you are new with the iPad, this game would help you learn the simple gestures, as they are used throughout the game.

Beautifully Difficult Posted by

I love the music! The fluidity of the floating cells is visually pleasing. I really like it but it's quite difficult as early on as toward the end of Oddyssey. I can't 4 the life of me get my cell past the circle of Petri dishes in the circle 2 absorb the cells outside! I'll never make it! It jumped from mildly challenging 2 very very difficult. It should b easier 4 longer stretches of each phase 'cause I tell ya, @ this rate I'll never get past Oddyssey! Great sound & visuals though.

Soothing, ambient, and still active fun Posted by

I don't buy a lot of games, but this one has been worth it. As opposed to the typical action, timed trials, quick reflexes, or esoteric searches, this game has ambient music and requires patience and calm. It's a nice change of pace, not to mention quite pretty. The only drawback is a lack of a true "quick fix" from the game, but I'll admit that's not its design. Would like to have seen it for a dollar or two less (yes, I'm being nitpicky now), but still glad I bought.

Love it (I just had massive expectations) Posted by

A friend a year or so ago recommended this game to me and I only just downloaded this a few days ago. I had an unrealistic hope that the world, or whatever it should be called, would be endless and the game would just keep going. Sadly, no. But this game is still great! Some levels and difficulty settings and slight variations. You will never play the same level twice. It's quite a relaxing game, and the sounds are cool too, though I usually just listen to my music with it.

Great Game Posted by

It's a great game, and my friends and I play it all the time. I like the multiplayer feature and impasse seems to be a favorite map, however I remember seeing on the forums somewhere that 4 player multiplayer was being considered. Those posts are from long ago, (like 2011) but I'm still hoping that this could be implemented as it would be a really cool feature. I would pay a couple bucks more to buy this if it became available, and I know many of my friends would as well.

Better than the computer version Posted by

I loved Osmos when I played it on my computer. I got it on sale on steam, and never looked back. When I saw it was more expensive here than on steam, I balked at the idea of purchasing it again. Eventually I got curious (and needed a game for my iPad) and purchased it. No regrets. Completely different, more intuitive controls, extra content, and portability make this game a perfect purchase. 10/10

WOW Posted by

So far, the only game I have actually purchased for the iPad, and was it worth it? By far. The Physics, The Vibe, The Music, The Graphics, and of course the gameplay, which has the most perfect learning curve... All Stellar. A fun, challenging, evolutionary Trip. Fantastic, and I say this not just "for an app"... Great game. Period.

STRANGELY SATISFYING Posted by

I don't do games... really. This one, however, is quite an experience rather than 'high score' expedition. I HIGHLY recommend it as something to relax with. A Zen experience? Not really. But if there's an iPad game that tries to give a Zen experience, this is it : ) 5 STARS

Totally addictive Posted by

The game play is simple to learn, but completely engrossing. The music is atmospheric and will quickly lull you into a zen-like state. it is easy to zone out in the game for a long time, even when you are struggling with the same level. Definitely the best game available for iPad.

Even better... Posted by

This game is great! I hadn't played in a while so when I loaded it onto a new iPad pro, I was really impressed. The multiplayer feature is a great addition, especially for playing a spouse in the same room. Be warned though, you might just end up playing into the wee hours.

Testing out my Smart keyboard Posted by

Testing out my smart keyboard for the iPad pro. Sooooo....Double review. Keyboard works. Game is dope. 4.2stars on key board since the part that touches my screen also touches whatever surface I use my keyboard on. Could eventually get dirty. Osmos is dope af tho. 5 stars.

Brilliant Posted by

Absolutely brilliant, deceptively simple and yet mind bending in it's challenge. I find myself thinking about the game constantly. Too addictive. One of the greatest games for the iPad. You can't rush your approach; the music takes you to another dimension. Thank you.

Glorious! Posted by

I just discovered multi-player features -- this game keeps paying for itself over and over! It's beautiful, simple, intelligent, and the music is pretty good too. Run (don't walk) to get this game for your iPad! You won't be disappointed.

Amazing! Posted by

I love this game on the iPad, but I will not pay for this app on both the iPad and iPhone! Please combine the two! And beyond that I love this game, it's absolutely simple but simplicity is strength in my book! Amazing!

Thanks for Icloud! Posted by

Don't play this much anymore, but just wanted to reward dev for adding Icloud support. It's a much needed feature on ios games across the board, and needs to be the rule, not the exception. Also, great game!

What a great game! Posted by

This game is brilliantly imagined and designed. A true testament to the gaming potential of the iPad. I completed the Odysseus mode in one sitting - not because it's too short, but because I was so hooked on it.

Love this game! Posted by

This game has everything you want. It's a puzzle game, it's an arcade game. Heck, it's even a driving/flying game. Lots of repeat playability, great soundtrack, beautiful on iPad. GET IT!

I hate it!!! by 22299 2013-01-02

In every way possible. If you plan to buy this with your money, even if it is easy-earned, don't. Worst game in the world. I think I prefer cave run 3d for samsung galaxy than this rubbish. NEVER EVER BUY THIS!!!! I hate it from the inside out; it doesn't even use gravity well!! If you are even thinking of getting it in the bottom of your mind, CANCEL THE THOUGHT NOW!!! I HATE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. I Hate this game. P.P.S. NEVER BUY IT! P.P.P.S. I HATE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Relaxing???? Noooo... by Mrteacherdude 2015-07-18

I read the reviews saying how relaxing this game is, so I paid FIVE DOLLARS for it. The first few levels are fun and relaxing. They deserve a five star. The later levels, however, are exceedingly difficult, being more frustrating than challenging. Unfortunately FOR ME, the later levels have left a bad taste in my mouth, and ruined an otherwise enjoyable game. The music is nice, but can't be heard in the late game due to screams of frustration.

Addictive and challenging by Foursky 2012-12-13

Rating 1 star, because I hate being asked to rate the game over and over again. Wish stats would carry from iPad to iPad, through the apple gamer account... Worth the cash. Very challenging, and it is a neat and refreshingly new type of game. When you get through everything, and the last few things will take you a couple days, the multi player will keep you engaged for a wee bit longer.

Good game by LM407 2013-05-09

This is an interesting fun and calming game once you figure it out. My main complaint is the lack of how to play the game. I had to go on Utube to find a little bit about it. The Arcade gaming has no directions at all and can be very frustrating to figure out, but once you do it's an enjoyable experience.

Osmos by Sing Lo 2013-03-16

I was looking for something to relax with before I fell asleep. As it is more of a game, it actually gets my adrenaline going. But when I win a level, it is very relaxing to watch the remaining orbs float across the screen. The speed adjustment is very helpful. I like the suggestions that seem to be very zen.

Unbearably boring by Benjamin7887 2013-06-27

The most slow moving game ever created, set to dull ambient music. It's bizarre that anyone would give this game a good review. You have to be brain dead to play this thing, it really seems like the sort of game they'd make brain-damaged people play to test their brain activity.

Over-hyped by Mr.mojo723 2013-10-07

Honestly, I don't know why everyone makes such a big deal about this game. I like the graphics and soundtrack, but the game is just pushing a ball around, trying to absorb smaller balls and avoid bigger balls. If that sounds like fun to you, then go nuts!

Relaxing & Visually captivating by SONNY71 2013-02-08

I read a review & Downloaded the game. I was impressed and intrigued at the same time ..which was what I was looking for. The soundtrack is far out..Very Soundscapes like. Overall I like it because its a departure from the norm

Buggy by l_am_Awesome 2013-01-05

Won't let me even download the update... And because it started and stopped in the middle I can't delete it or play it. What a waste of my money.

Music and sound effects not working by erika a. s. 2014-08-03
